College Football 2023

This was on ESPN this morning.
Funny how they mention Kliavkoff and the trophy presentation. It was very odd. He said nothing, kept his back to the camera, handed off the trophy then got the hell off the stage.
He of course contributed to the fall of the PAC 12, but he isn’t the only villain. Larry Scott, the chancellors and presidents, ESPN and Fox come to mind. Even do nothing Tom Hansen played a part, but not as great as the others.

Some games tomorrow.

Go Bison !!!

Available, promised or implied NIL money will wind up to be a big driver in future portal movement. Especially if the new NCAA proposal to have the schools pay directly.
Then it just becomes who can pay the most for many athletes, as the top tier players will know going in how much they will be paid, and will be able to cash some checks before the uncertainty of what is typically a short NFL career.
With a decent investment advisor and goid decisions, a college player could be set for life even before he is drafted. I bet NIL top dollar players are going to be getting 10 mil a year within 3-5 years.
If not sooner...

Money for blunts, broads, and bad decisions… 😉

The whole idea here is to pump as much money in as possible, with as few restrictions as possible, and so....
It should turn out well.
😅

If you dont mind a mini great atmoshere and want real college ball here in Washington State or PNW then go to the red field of EWU, or the fukin real grass mud field swamp at Baker stadium and see some Loggers slam opponents with REAL mud spray , or get your baseball cap stolen by the wind in Ellensburg... Or the beautiful pine forrested atmosphere of Whitworth.... But stay away from Linfield...freakin pours there starting in mid October... Williamette has a nice stadium but I'm more attracted by the river running through the campus. 😁

The Army - Navy game is, IMO, a preview of how college football will look as we move forward with the transfer portal and the NIL stuff. Different but still a good football product.
The big time programs are minor league NFL teams

Darn good game. Great ending. Not sure what Army was doing but that is the true meaning of bend don’t break prevent D!! The next to last play was 11 vs 11, all 22 players in that pig pile. 😜

Nice gesture by Michael Penix wearing the names of all his teammates at tonight’s Heisman trophy presentation.
