Unlike other sports, it takes more than one good player to make it work. If a qb is under pressure, they're going to make bone head plays. Mahomes does the same thing.

Cleveland has the best defense in the NFL this year. They've been making a lot of teams looks like shit.

Third down play calling on both sides of the ball is where I'm getting frustrated.

Because teams will respond and respect leaders, something missing, at a player level and coaching level.

It takes a Team to win, not superstars. Look at the lack yards of by MetCalf.

I think you're backing up my point.

I think the coaching issue is more just suspect play calling. Defense overall is doing pretty good if not a little frustrating sometimes. Somehow they're consistently getting the job done.

Not sure what was up with the lack of connection with Metcalf today. Got no answers there. JSN, Bobo, Lockett, Fant, K9, Charbs.. They all had some great plays.

Geno actually hit a few of those, like the TD to Lockett, while under a ton of pressure.

Edit:

If you think Lock would be better, you might not know that the thing he's best known for is making bone headed plays at a very high rate.

I'll agree that Metcalf still has some growing to do (maybe a bunch), but Man, why curse having such a talent on your team because it isn't performing to your (non-NFL manager) standard?

Complaining about winning? Tough crowd....
 
I mean, the Hawks activated the oldest or second oldest player in the NFL just to have a warm body on the o line today. They are not healthy there. I'm happy they're doing anything at all considering the inconsistency there.
 
It was fun watching the Seahawks snatch a final seconds victory from the jaws of defeat. But that game could have gone either way. The Brown's defense was almost, just almost, a scoosh better than the Seahawks offense. It sure would be nice to see the Hawks add more productive running plays to their resume'.

Paige doesn't like Geno, but statistically Geno has been pretty darn good. And they're winning (now) more than twice as many games as they've lost. Not too shabby for a team that is not likely to be a Super Bowl dynasty.
 
Geno has made some terrible plays, especially the last few games. But there's a very visible reason for it.

I also can't point to a single QB in the NFL that hasn't had the same type of mistakes lately. It's a thing that happens.

God, one of the funniest ones I ever saw was when Howie had a brain cramp and Terry leaned over a yelled "Welcome to my world!". They had to shut off Howie's mic and took the camera off that side of the table for about five minutes, he was laughing so hard. Classic.
 
9er fans need to be worried,.. right now! Even the new band wagon 9er fans. We've seen Peak Purdy, now the startling regression. Three horrendous turn overs today! His head took a scary hard blow to the turf and he should have been pulled from the game for his safety. This team is horribly vulnerable going into Halloween break.

Meanwhile Joe Burrow was spectacular. His best game ever! Joe Montana attended today's game and gushed about Burrow afterwards.

To put the Rams season in a nutshell: Matthew Stafford suffered a hand injury while catching a 2-point conversion in a game that L.A. was trailing by 30 points.
 
Stafford made a great catch. The injury cut short an amazing comeback victory. Don't worry, he will be ready to thump the c-hawks in November.

I appreciate how rent free the niners live in your head :). On the other hand, how’d the Rams do?
 
Aside from Mahomes the Magician, I'll take Burrow over every other QB in the league.
With the bye, Shanahan has two weeks to get his team back on the rails, starting with a defense struggling badly under the new D-coach.
With only 19 games under his belt Purdy was going to stumble sooner or later, rather have it now than later in the season. Getting Deebo back in the lineup will help spread the field...Aiyuk, however, has now dropped a critical pass three games in a row.
Eagles and Dallas now likely 1 and 2...Dallas will of course choke like a dog come December
