We have a bunk house @ Ross Lake Resort second week of October if they're shut down we are toast. This happened a few years back and they made the Resort shut down because it's in a national park, no one allowed on the lake.

If able, it would be helpful to have eyes on the water in areas that will be less patrolled if a shutdown happens. Poachers and suction dredge miners will probably try to take advantage. If you see anything happening, please call it in to either 911 or the WDFW tip line.

Oct 2018 to early 2019 the last gov budget freeze lead up just like this situation…BLM shut down Big Pines on the Yak. That was just before the Burning Pram event. I did not go that year… a few found somewhere to celebrate but a handfull instead of the usual weekend event of as many as 50 ffishing folks and sometimes their families.

Is BP still a thing? I've always thought it looked like fun, but I have a hard time bringing myself to drive past the D that time of year.
