SFR Fishing Foods (food near fishing)

Sorta fishing-related
Rainbow Tavern in Maupin where you can see a rainbow tuna. Spent birthdays no. 60, 70 and 80 there. Now owned by Mt. Hood Brewing where they make an amber ale comparable to the Seven Seas in Gig Harbor. Always order a bacon cheese burger loaded.dscf3291.jpgdscf3292.jpg
 
Laura's Carnriceria (Mexican meat market) on the North side of Hwy 20 in Sedro-Woolly. I often stop here on my way home from fishing. Carne Asada, fresh tortillas, fresh salsa, limes, maybe a new hot sauce, white cheese etc ....... and when I get home, I fire up the grill, and make some dang good tacos.

DKs was my first job away from the farm while in high school. Only worked there for like 8 miserable months then went back to farmin.
 
Another place if you find yourself hunger after battling the throngs of humpy hunters at a certain West Seattle park would be Lady Jaye on California Ave.

Kenny’s Kitchen in Cottonwood, California; just south of Redding off I5(exit 665 if southbound). Next to livestock auction yard. Don’t know what it is but auction yard near my hometown has an excellent cafe as well. Can’t say the beef isn’t fresh.
Olive Pit in Corning, California; exit 630. Good sandwiches and olives, their muffelleta olive spread is great to add to pasta, sandwiches, etc.
Nancy’s Airport Cafe in Willows, California; exit 603. Old fashioned diner with great food and pictures of auto and airplane racing. Great vibe.

A good lunch option in WW is Stone Soup, they have a classic chicken salad sandwich that will take you back to being a kid with a small bag of classic Lay's on the side, picked slice and a cookie.
 
If you're skittish, maybe not your place but any time I'm within an hour of Toppenish, I make beeline for Los 3 Panchos for a burrito, usually chicharone. My wife goes for the chicken tacos. The meat is slow cooked on a pit over apple wood out front.

Been awhile since I was out that way, but it was open then. Their website is operational and gives hours they are open.

Will have to stop by again this winter. I know for a while during the Obama administration they were shuttered.

Stopped by there one time and they had shot-up Obama targets on the walls inside, posters, etc. A couple of months later shuttered and stayed shuttered for a while. Haven’t checked on them but glad to hear they’re back. Regardless of politics/worldview, more than a few of my dollars are on their ceiling and I love the burgers.
