I don't seem to recall the fun that was had during this game of reverse Jenga but I bet @PhilR and friends had a blast!

Impressive, everyone I've ever hooked chewed through my leader in pretty short order.
....and come to think of it, the away game photo that G_Smolt posted in the stoke pic thread was the same spot my buddy almost tailed a beaver I hooked. I had my buddy fooled into thinking I was into a big one right up to the point that the beaver slapped his tail on the water. Beaver swam off into the current and chewed through the leader.

We need a beaver subforum.
Just kidding.
Maybe a thread.

I've hooked a beaver, an otter, and a loon while stripping streamers. Thought I was gonna get hurt when I hooked the otter, because there were at least five other otters coming to it's defense.

I nearly stepped on an otter a couple of weeks ago fishing for steelhead. I was minding my business swinging and stepping, he was minding his business eating a fish and I came within a few inches of stepping on him. We both levitated, hissed at each other and went in opposite directions!

I have almost snagged 2 beavers and glad I didn't. I had one swim under a pontoon boat I was rowing, fucker was almost as long as the boat, scared the bejebous out of me!

They will absolutely scare the bejebus out of you when they do that tail slap. Gets me every time.
Even when I'm staring right at them.

There's an area at Merwin that one hangs out and gets me every time even though I know it's coming.

7 or 8 years ago I had a seal follow a coho clouser right up to my rod tip and actually tried to eat it. When the fly got close I saw some nervous water then a big shadow behind my fly. I first thought it was a large coho and got excited, then I saw what it was. Right as it tried to go for the kill I got my wits about me and quickly pulled the fly out of the water. Very glad he didn't eat that fly, it would not have ended well I'm sure.
