Yellow UV cure

One downside to solarez bone dry is that if you let the bottle get cold, the brush curls. I contacted them about it and it’s a known thing but they said they “offer a replacement brush at a reasonable cost”. It was $1, but $6 to ship so at almost half the cost of a new bottle, I didn’t think that was reasonable.

They also suggested microwaving it. I did that and it worked but was leary about it. I’ve also put the bottle in some warm water and it helped.

Otw I really like that product.

Here is how I fixed my curled bone dry brush.
Take the lid off the bone dry and nuke in your microwave for 15 seconds. Screw the lid back on and rotate the bottle in your hand. Repeat the same procedure with another 10-15 second shot in the microwave. Don't overheat your resin. If in doubt put it in the microwave for shorter time periods. This will thin out your bone dry and renew your brush to a like new condition. My fly tying station is in the cold part of the house so I have had to do this a few times. Works every time.

Thanks @onefish that sounds like a good procedure (and I did something similar). I just didn’t like the idea of heating a resin where I heat food
