That was my experience as well. Was thinking river left would be the way to go. Will be interested what this looks like at low water. For some reason I love that stretch.

Would love that! I'm probably gonna stay away until the flip-flop in September, if only because those high flows scare me a bit! I may be up there this weekend fishing the freestone trib that flows in just below the State boat launch. We have a cabin above Liberty and I may get a hall pass from my wife this weekend to sneak up there for a day! Hit me up by PM if you'd like to discuss more...

Had a nice Tuesday PM, Wednesday and Thursday on the Yak. Got some nice morning action just upriver on the highway side from Umtanum on Wednesday and Thursday. Explored upriver from Umtanum on railroad side about a mile. Explored the access off Gladmar Park Rd down the John Wayne Trail at Thorp. My buddy caught way more than I did, but I had a good time.
