No one fishes there anymore cuz it's too crowded. That's what I heard.Crickets.
Apparently nobody fishes the Yakima anymore

I guess the secret is out. Rumor has it a salmonfly was spotted recently along the Yakima.
The tribs are fishing better at the moment, so not worth dealing with the rubber hatch.
Or, as Yogi Berra once said, “No goes there anymore, because it’s too popular.”

Floated last Tuesday, Ringer to Big Pines. By far the worst skeeter suckling ever I've had on the Yak. That goes back 44 years and living on the banks at three different locations. Put your bug juice on before you get to Ringer and maybe load the boat out on canyon road. I had over 40 bites on my leg from the top of wet wading sock to my knee. That is a swamp just like Green Bridge, Teanaway confluence, State etc.
We only saw one other boat that day.
I made three other trips into the canyon recently for photos. Didn't take a single shot. Very few people on the water.
Levels were well below historical average even though the lakes are all at 99%. Looks hot this week so I bet they jack it up for ag.
Fish early and late. Cantina 9am>6:30pm.
Ringer is fine as is Umptanum campground launch if you have a 4x4.
