I am four square behind public access to public land. I understand private property rights, but public property rights exist as well.
Most (not all) of the conflict about this would go away if the public would treat private land like it was their land, treat public land like it was their land because it it, and observed the third rule of the cowboy way: Always leave the gate, and anything else you come across, just like you found it. Maybe a little cleaner.
