Kudos to NOAA Fisheries for effort to balance development, salmon in Puget Sound

More than 70% of nearshore habitat in Puget Sound and the Salish Sea is gone. Protecting that habitat is key for salmon recovery.

Apparently NOAA is killing it with their “no net loss” habitat management plan….at least according to the Seattle Times editorial board.

Yea, but how much of that habitat loss... say is from the early 1900s and on. The title makes you think they keep losing habitat recently and that it's an ongoing problem, which is doubtful. There's only so much shoreline.

When all you people use acronyms. I wish you would say what the hell they stand for. I looked up WTG and there is about 30 0r more meanings for it. I might be old and getting feeble but I kind of need a little help on these things. How's about helping an oldman out.
