Winter Olympics Watch...

I feel bad for the Russian athletes that are clean, but Russian athletes should not have been allowed to participate at all. Bogus to allow them to participate under the Russian Olympic Committee during this supposed ban. Originally, the ban was for 4 years, but after an appeal, it was reduced 2.
They promised not to invade Ukraine if they reduced the suspension…wink wink…

Anybody watch the mens half pipe?

Incredible gold medal run.
Oh my gosh! He was so amazing! I DVRd it and finished watching. I was pulling for that gold medalist athlete from the beginning (don’t want to spoil it in case others DVR And haven’t watched. He was amazing. i loved how the one announcer was flabbergasted by his second run when the judges scored him so low.

a little bummed that Shaun White failed to pull it off in the snowboard halfpipe. That kid from Japan who won gold though.....wow! what a run!

oops, hope I didn't ruin it for anyone...well, you shouldn't be on here.

The plot thickens...Just learned that the Russian figure skater's test samples from 12/25 turned a positive result on Tuesday. The Russian Anti Doping Agency provisionally suspended her. She appealed and her suspension was lifted, so she can compete. The International Testing Agency on behalf of of the IOC is appealing to reinstate the provisional suspension....stay tuned!

On another note. It was great to see Mikaela Shiffrin complete her Super G run. Last I heard, still in the top 10.

I was looking at medal totals...if the European Union could only have one team the medal totals would be totally different...I didn't do the math but 6 of the top ten countries are EU!
If there is a documentary written about Mikaela Shiffrin in the 2022 Olympics the very first sentence best include the phrase "class act."
I wonder if she would have had the same reaction if it were not the Olympics...I think even the best in the world feel a lot of extra pressure at the Olympics. Good for her for caring and trying.

Couple nights ago was my first time watching women's hockey, USA vs. Canada and I was so impressed! Much more fluid game than men's, great passing and stick handling.

The women's game has improved remarkably over the last decade, so much faster and crisper now - I'll bet either the US or Canadian women's team could give more than a few men's teams a good run for their money, including even some college mens.

Cheers

I watched the USA women's monobob obliterate the competition.. cool sport.

Such a cool story congratulations to Erin Jackson on her gold and to Brittany Bowe for such a wonderful gesture.

Cheers

I watched her background interview, her skating and post-win interview. VERY articulate, understanding, appreciative, how she wants to be a role model for others to continue and fulfill their dreams and to support as well as enable others. A believe her as it is her calling and she will succeed. Quite a remarkable lady!

Pretty weak that they are letting that russian figure skater continue to compete after a failed drug test because it "would cause her irreparable harm". It's that sort of stuff that makes it hard for me to care too much about the olympics.
