I wasn’t aware that this was available to folks 62 years or older. This might be a good option for some who enjoy winter camping at our state parks and makes camping more affordable.

I got my Fed Senior Pass when it was still $10. Paid for itself the first time I used it.

Looks like the state equivalent to the federal Senior Pass for national parks, forests, and other federal lands.
Which also gets you a 50% discount any time in National Forest campgrounds! The senior pass that is.
Also Veterans with any Service connected disability rating can get a free lifetime Interagency Access Pass that gives free entrance to Federal Lands and the 50% discount on camping and other amenities. I've had mine since 2009. Show your Veteran Health Identification Card (VHIC) with “SERVICE CONNECTED” below the photo on the front of the card, or your VA letter of eligibility, (but get the VHIC if you don't have one, lots of Veterans discounts available even if not Service Connected).

And current Military ID, a non-SERVICE CONNECTED VHIC, or Veterans' ID Card (VIC) gets you a free annual Military Pass for free entrance, but no other discounts.

BTW, when getting Mrs Brian's free lifetime Veterans Interagency Access Pass this year (PACT) we encountered a GPNF Ranger that hadn't seen a (SERVICE CONNECTED) VHIC but was familiar with the FREE Veterans Pass programs. A simple explanation what the card signifies gave the Ranger some training, and the Access Pass was issued.
