Total bullshit! If you can't see the big picture and the real cause of the Salmon's demise you are hiding in a deep cave! Try a simple Blackle search at why Salmon are disappearing, "World Wide"! You won't find a single mention of blame shifting thrown at the Fish and Wildlife departments or Tribal interests. No, but not because of a lack of fish. Of we aren't salmon fishing in 10 years it's because of the managers who push their religion on people and call it the will of the people.

Throwing blame at WDFW and the tribes while ignoring the larger reality is a waste of print and breath.
Commercial fishermen and the government agencies who refuse to control their behavior. For starters.OK, poor ocean survival, good. What and better yet who is responsible for poor ocean survival. Not the WDFW!

Chinook spend up to 5 seasons off Alaska in the middle of all kinds of commercial fishing
For Chinook ocean conditions means NETS.
There is a reason Washington state chinook are Almost all cookie cutter 12-15 lbers. Fish that survive spend less time in the gulf of Alaska it's that simple.
How true. I need your address so I can practice the traditions of my Genghis Khan ancestor. They have no bearing on what's actually right or wrong. History shows as much, ad nauseam.
You know Rob is immune to science. That's his superpower.WA collectively raises and releases 100 million salmon smolt each year.
Conversely, CA hatcheries raise 20-24 million salmon smolt yearly, and yet 2023 King returns to the Mokelumne River alone was 20,000 King's, the Sacramento 28,000, the Klamath 22,000...so based on smolt release ratio's alone WA should see much abundant returns, right?
Unless factoring migration patterns.
Per the attached chart, the WA and Puget Sound salmon appear to follow a short, tight feeding loop before returning home. So this makes them much more susceptible to variances in bait school density as increasingly warm water currents disperse those schools, vs. those salmon following a much longer and wider feeding loop that provides them with a much greater chance of finding those critical bait schools?

Upcoming research expedition seeks to chart impact on different rivers and species.www.fisheries.noaa.gov
Need to introduce stripers in PS and smallies in the streams and rivers. Climate resistant fisheries for the next generation. (I'm kidding of course)Bass fishing is the future.
