Iβve always used Quantum Hot Sauce on my click/pawl reels.
Mainly that it doesnβt come off in the salt water and seems to protect the pawls and spring very well from corrosion. That's like the grease they ship covering gun barrels. Not sure I'd want that on my reel if it is the same as that. Lots of the older grease on reels dries hard and is tough to get off.
I've been using superlube the grease tibor ships on its pawls and the ever so popular red stuff. What is it you like about the wax grease?
The grease I see used in reels that has somewhat the same color as that is lithium grease, I think. Archuleta sent it back on my reels.
Alan Tani recommends yamalube. I bought a tube that I used in some of my reels. Iβll mail you some if you want to give it a try.Mainly that it doesnβt come off in the salt water and seems to protect the pawls and spring very well from corrosion.
Iβve been using marine grease but it dissipates in the salt after it becomes a thinner consistency.
Maybe Iβll try a couple more options on the marine level before I go buy a big tub of the waxy stuff![]()
