A little rough, but thats what dashboard ties tend to look like. I’m not going to be on the river till next week so I did this one in the driveway.

Bulk the abs and head up a bit more…
What size of hook or how long overall ?
I shoot for the big bugs… 3/4” to 1” OA head/body not including the wings

I tried another one first (same hook), tying in the feather tips for wings without clipping the feather butts and then winding the butts together for the hackle. It looked very messy but would fish. This one I tied the tips in separately, then built the head, then tied in the hackle normal dry fly style. I like the look of this bug and will tie it in black with some kind of sighter, too!

Got the remaining poppers finished up. Will work on the last of the top water kreelexs and start shaping heads again
Those are cool. The silver one on the right is very similar to a popular steelhead lure back in the day, the Sammy Special. I caught my first steelhead on a silver and red one.

It’s no use if it ain’t chartreuse.. These attractors work well lately, especially after all my others are not. The top one is a foam floating leech used with a heavy sink line, deep..
Bottom one looks like a California Neil: coho slayer extraordinaire!
Chartreuse for the win! Definitely my go to color.
