Have I found my dry fly box I lost over 5 years ago? NO. So, I'm heading over to an Eastern Oregon ditch that may or may not have some big bugs garnering attention. Honestly, I really like the weather tomorrow morning for some herping, so I plan on doing some of that too.
This thing? is it buggy? uh, duh. will it work?
one way to find out....basically just some FTD KRAP dubbing (I have an olive--for green drakes, and a nice golden--for stones....this one? kinda a weird color combo...I dunno, it looks buggy) then just backside of bucktail for a wing with the butts folded back and randomly cut. I really like the backside of bucktail for larger dry fly wings because it's just so damn hollow and floats like a cork...it doesn't always last super long, but I have enough of it, and this is a super quick fly with basically 2 ingredients.

This bucktail happened to be the backside of a yellow dyed tail...
