That is a really beautiful fly! Very impressionisticMy "Throw Back Thursday" fly this week the Delaware Adams
It was 1st tied by the First Family of Catskill Fly Tiers—Walt, Winnie Dette, and today, Mary Dette—has tied flies for both anglers and collectors for decades. Those of us fortunate enough to have acquired some original Dette patterns have never known for sure which of the three tiers made the flies; that was the way they wanted it. It was kind of a “share the wealth” attitude. One of the most popular flies in their repertoire is the Delaware Adams. The “Del” is almost stately and elegant in appearance. It was tied as a variant to the Adams. It's not exactly know what the Adams was tied to Imitate.

Love those! Whats the flashy dubbing coming off the head?
Thanks Man, it's ripple ice fiber in smolt blue with a bit of ice dub in UV shrimp and a few strands of barred voodoo fiber in a loop. Then a final loop around the chain bead of rabbit in FL Krill. All overkill but I enjoy tying them. Two days ago on my last day out the system I was on had dropped and cleared alot with at least 4'+ of vis, I fished a similar one that got alot of nips and plucks with a couple hookups. It looked somewhat like a skinny sandshrimp tail with that redish color guts/abdomen section. In the water its got a fuller, pulsating profile as it swings through the varying currents and seams.Love those! Whats the flashy dubbing coming off the head?

Looks great!I kind of slacked off tying last year. Had our spare room set up to tie last winter, then did a interior remodel. My daughter moved back into spare room half way into the remodel so I never got it painted/trimmed. She moved back out and the room sort of stayed stagnant.
Happy to report I finally got room trimmed out and painted!
