Thanks. I was fishing upstream/dead-drift hoping they’d take it for a hopper (there were a few crawling around); the fish hit it as soon as it landed on the water.
I love cutties…always willing takers for floaters….and that’s a nice one.
I had an upcoming trip planned in a couple weeks but it may be canceled due to fire…and it is all trout. I have enough leeches & streamers, and adequate amount of drys to fish droppers with…wanted to fill out the nymph box
Does it have a tendency to flip over on its side?
I think maybe a rusty orange??Do that in orange for the Fall fishing…
I try to splay the legs as much as possible; that plus an extra heavy scud hook helps it float in the proper orientation. When it does roll on it’s side, a quick tug usually straightens it out.
