Thanks Dr. Magill - the UV cured olive midges have been really good (for me) on my last two outings.

The wing is hard to see with my background but it's black over blue dyed squirrel tail. Some recipes also call for Mallard or Teal fibers to top off the wing

A couple of flies tied as a result of a recent bass outing.
The swimming frog is my favorite largemouth catcher. Lost one the other day on a bad knot or old tippet material. My fault either way.

Hook: Kona XSS #1/0
Tail: grizzly olive, grizzly yellow and grizzly rooster hackles
Collar 1: Olive grizzly rooster hackle
collar 2 deer hair
Body/diving collar: Deer hair, Olive, black, green and yellow over white
front legs: silicone pulled through collar
Eyes: 6 MM
Weed guard: 20# Mason hard mono

On the way into the lake I saw large number of big hoppers which showed distinctly orange wings when flying. Seemed like a hoper wouldn't be a bad thing to carry, though the panfish will probably be on it constantly and still not get hooked.

Body 3 MM tan foam
Underwing: Golden Pheasant Crest Feather
Overwing: Turkey
Head and collar: Tan deer
legs: silicone, knotted
