Purple soft hackle works great. It is one of my "go to" flies as a dropper behind a dry when Hendricksons, or other dark Mayflies are coming off. I tie #12 and 16 and have had good luck with both

Early Chum Fry Goodness

Needed something lightweight and small to imitate the early ones. Unsure if I’ll taper back the wing to prevent the Farrar’s Blend from fouling. Guess I’ll have to fish it and find out how the materials behave.

Dubbed the body with alternating colors to get the parr mark effect. Probably should have used a slightly longer shanked hook.

Plate River Spider.

Finding the right materials was a battle. I’d not tied this fly in a long time, but it’s fun to tie and catches fish in lakes, rivers and the saltwater.

Searun cutthroat love to take this pattern.
I think Blue, from the old forum, tied this fly for a swap. It became a favorite of mine.
