First attempt at a game changer for local smallies. Probably totally unnecessary but fun nonetheless. I think the hook has too long of a shank and made it have an un proportionality long head compared to the body (it’s a 1/0 b10s with 4 10mm shanks). I think I’m going to cut the hook off and get a short shank hook up front or just fish it and get out of my head

I added a rear shell back of pearl tinsel to the old partridge and herl, to simulate the air bubble on a water boatman. I'll report back if it works.

It's the soft fluffy little feathers at the bottom of a guinea hackle feather, can't remember what that stuff is called.

Body - Peacock herl over an underbody of tapered olive floss or yarn
Wing - White monga ringtail tied low over the body or substitute
Hackle - Yellow and orange tied on as a collar mixed and tied back
Monga ringtails are rare in Connecticut so I substituted white bucktail

Ok, hear me out....outside looks the same....yes. inside, I added a couple of steps that will stiffen up the backside bucktail directly underneath the titan dubbed head. Sadly it also adds ~10-15 min of tying time. Swim test next weekend before I dive into this further.


I also went back to the Ahrex TP lite. The bend is less aggressive than the TP long (I've had 3 tiger eats last couple of sessions and a big billy bass eat it 4 times today without sticking). I dunno, going back to what I'm confident in.

Oh, I also didn't add any additional flash outside of what's in the titan dubbing.
