Got the idea from Grahame Adams Pearly Muddler. Switched out the body (because the opal tinsel was sitting next to the vise) and omitted the bronze mallard (supply is perilously low); highly unlikely the trout will notice or care.

hook - WFC Model 6 #10
thread - Uni 8/0 black
tail - deer hair
rib - small wire gold
body - medium tinsel opal
hackle - Cree
shoulder - sharptail grouse
wing - golden pheasant body feather red
collar/head - deer hair

Regards,
Scott

I like the colors in that one, looks like a real fish getter. I need to add the opal tinsel to my list as I've seen several ties I like that use it.

Random brown muddler. Hares ear tail, gold ribbed brown simiseal body, brownish tinged grizzly palmer, reddish pheasant wing and shoulder hackle, medium deer hair in sz. 8.
