What's Catching You Fish?

Lots of fish this morning, as long as the fly was black. I'll call this the stupid stocker leech. Deadly under a float. Orange thread, marabou tail, blk flash each side adds durability, black simiseal (or blk/red here or canadian blk). Same fly in brown, nada, peacock olive got some.

Runner up was a black bugger w/ red bead and blue flash fished on a sink tip.

A few better fish but mostly this

Quick hack, hook loop or float on a paper clip, walk across lot any give a gentle pull and hold, and reel up. Line lays out straight after casting.

How deep under a float were you fishing the stupid stocker leech?

5 1/2', never changed. Lakes are 7-20' deep.

@Tom Butler 's stupid stocker leech, 5-6 get down under a bobber, just like the man said. By the way, I really like the Oros in-line bobber in the small size. It is easy to slide on the leader but status where I leave it. View attachment 63197
Nice lookin' fish. Glad it worked for you. We had good luck with that fly at the kids pond today as well.
