I'm also bad because I do the same ... however, I do use the bottom section of the blades and not the tips... somehow that makes me feel better about it all...

Kidding, but if you have to do any wire fencing work, this fencing tool is worth its weight in gold!

If you do any 3D printing these probably look familiar. They can be had for $2-3, work great and are small in size.

Here's 5 sets for $10, keep a couple and give the rest to fly tying friends.
