Really like this thread from the old forum so I’m starting it here. Just finished A Storm Too Soon by Michael Tougias. A true story of disaster, survival and an incredible rescue. Turns out the heroic rescue swimmer is my buddies son in law...

Sierra Six by Mark Greaney. Although I don't like fiction it is a real good book so far. Also the series by Michael Garrity, Kevin Kerney novels are good.
 
Rereading the Song of Ice and Fire books. I finished A Game of Thrones again last week, and moved on to A Clash of Kings this week. I think I’ve lost all hope that Winds of Winter or Dream of Spring will come out before Martin dies.

I know a lot of people have issue with Costco (support small business and actual book stores) but I buy at least a couple books a month or two when I am in there. I also have watched, and bought myself, kids books and educational books for young people at Costco.

That all being said I was pissed the other night when the news did a story saying Costco will no longer be carrying books regularly, only as a seasonal item. Because people that read only do it seasonally right?

So, please if you buy bike at Costco or want them to continue to carry them all the time PLEASE File a complaint!!!

Thanks for the information, Herron is an excellent read and the Apple TV series is also, hope they make more. Unlike many adaptations of books, this TV series hit it out of the park. Gary Oldman at his finest.

Out of curiosity, I picked up a book while in Costco. Yeah, it is about an unauthorized autobiography of Taylor Swift. Right now, I have other projects going on to read much of it. . I was tempted to pick up the book titled "Volcano" by 2 well known authors.
 
"Rediscovering Turtle Island, a first peoples' account of the sacred geography of America" by Taylor Keen. The author extensively references two books I've heard of but never read - "Custer Died for Your Sins" and "God is Red" - has me adding those the to-be-read list.
 
A new dark fantasy book by the author of The Blacktongue Thief, called The Daughter's War.
 
Available behind a pay wall at Apple News or a one time free article at The New Yorker. It’s pretty much all you need to know about the man and what he was made of. Great article.
