What are you listening to?

Nobody like Jeff. His passing hit me yesterday… now i just am listening to all I can find. He was deeply effected by hearing buddy guy…so i am going to dig out some Buddy tomorrow and old Yardbirds and Truth , Beckola, Wired, Beck Bogert and Appice . When we lost Rory and Lowell oi dug their music out too. All to give them a nod of appreciation for the entertainment I received through the gift that they shared.

To remember and celebrate the life and dreams of Martin Luther King Jr. "Lift Every Voice and Sing".
"Sing a song full of the faith that the dark past has taught us,
Sing a song full of the hope that the present has brought us. ...
Facing the rising sun of our new day begun,
Let us march on till victory is won. ...
Shadowed beneath Thy hand,
May we forever stand.
True to our God,
True to our native land."

Hopefully by remembering the past we can make a better future.

Handel's Water Music! Happy music my friends, this joyous piece is over 300 years old and will be every bit as glorious 500 years from now. Watched on the big screen with a soundbar it was just stunning, the conductor played the lead violin and the ensemble was about 30 strong. At the end there was an extended standing ovation that prompted a curtain call and an even more raucous ovation resulting in a second curtain call! You can't watch something like that and not feel better afterwards. Just an absolutely stunning performance.

Check out Rough and Ready by the Jeff Beck group. One of my favorite albums that never got the notoriety it deserved. Situation is an excellent song. I got the Guitar Garage album after his death, it has some good songs on it.
What I like about Beck is that his commercial success didn’t ruin his creativity, I really believe he just loved playing the guitar.

Jeff Beck with all his peers knowing just how amazing he was. He still carried himself as a humble man. He above all was continually creative and above all believed in entertaining his audiences. That is applicable to so many stations in life. It generates much deserved respect. I also love that rough and ready album. I have owned it a very long time.
