Ah, BMFS.

When he uses his talents for rock and roll, he is sureal.

When he uses them for bluegrass, I can't take it. The bluegrass sound is as difficult as bagpipes of my ears. I prefer a 2 drum minimum n an effort to eliminate the possibility of Bluegrass.

He is truly an amazing talent. I would spend a preposterous amount of money to see him play with Anastacio, Mitarotonda, Trucks etc. provided that they did not play bluegrass. Stay off the grass!

For those who like bluegrass, enjoy Billy. He is an amazing talent.

I'm bluegrass friendly, but different strokes for different folks! I would not call this tune bluegrass, myself. More country/folk.
 
On this day in 1969, the opening act walked onto the Stage on Max Yasgur's dairy farm in Bethel NY. Mr. Havens played a somewhat impromptu 3-hour set because the other acts were stuck in traffic.
