What are you listening to?

Okay collecting music for 62 years. Because I always new I wanted to which come with potential difficulties depending on the number of times I have moved my stuff.

The Residents not something I ever purchased or Buckethead. More of a theatrical performance for both. Akin to what Alice cooper and his inventive performance schtick and the Residents and Buckethead as performance art shows

If you didn't know this Sabbath deep cut before, check it out. Been stuck in my head for weeks.

I do not either. I sort of lost interest in metal around 74. Melody moved up in my intersts and progressive leaped ahead in my focus plus i was coupled or tastes were varied since 1974. I jumped into being interested in music in other continents. America beats you to death with redundancy and sales pitching. I still feel that way about spectacle making, and this is 52 years later.

Brian: Memory not as good as it used to be but were there not four brothers when they did "Paper Doll"?
We share a love of fine music. Great question!
I wasn't even a twinkle in my Father's and Mother's eyes in February 1942 when "Paper Doll"

was recorded.
But when the 1st couple of bars of the 3 part harmony 3rd verse in "Never Make A Promise In Vain" came on KBRD(.org) during our walk today it was obvious who I was listening to.

I am not very knowledgeable about The Mills Brothers, so I looked it up. Here is a composite of what I found...
"The quartet consisted of Donald (lead tenor vocals, April 29, 1915 – November 13, 1999), Herbert (tenor vocals, April 2, 1912 – April 12, 1989), Harry (baritone vocals, August 19, 1913 – June 28, 1982), and John Jr. (tenor guitar, double bass, bass vocals; October 19, 1910 – January 24, 1936).
After John Jr's passing session guitarists Bernard Addison (from 1936), Norman Brown (from 1938) were hired specifically as guitar accompanists to replace the instrumental/bass vocal role of John Mills Jr."

Their harmony was special and without seeing them you knew it was the Mills Brothers.
