Great song writing from the black hole at the edge of the musical universe. You tube even misspells the song title. I may never get use to the algorithmic false intelligence . But then I have promised myself to at least consider positivity as much as i can. I want to depart this city block a less grumpy old man. My kids will appreciate me for that too So they are not upset about not sharing my estate fortune with them.

That is beautiful!
US military bandsmen are all amazing musicians; dare I say "world class". I have been fortunate to perform alongside a few current and former over the years. It's a real nice musician gig. They make rank fast depending on skill level. For example, personnel selected for a premier band like the U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own", or the USAF "Airmen of Note" are promoted to Staff Sergeant-Technical Sergeant (E-6) just two months after completing basic training. It took me almost 4 years to make E-5 in the USAF as an integrated avionics tech. After the initial promotion it becomes competitive with some great career boxes to be checked for further advancement; arranging, composition, conducting, multi-instrumentalist... as well as leadership experience. The pay and bennies are pretty good, with stable assignments, not much of the ordinary military drudgery (they do have to do "martial" (military) music dates), plus they can do paying gigs and teaching on the side.

They can certainly leave an impression.

Back in 1979-80, A US Army 5-piece rock band played Toto's Hold the Line at Flathead High School. Full uniform. They were fantastic! I'm sure it was a recruiting effort, but it was the best assembly ever.

Our family was stationed at a small USAF radar site south of Kalispell. I learned to flyfish there. Magical place.

I am in audio heaven since getting my gear reassembled and hooked up. Denon PMA-501 amp.(late 70’s)Circa 1979 technics with Grado , Kenwood KX- 5530 casette , simple Sony.cd- dvd. And 2 pairs of bookshelfs Polk and Klipsch. Just wow! On a budget.. the amp is the gem.
