I don't know what it is about this track, but I've been absolutely obsessed with it the last couple of weeks. No vocals, totally instrumental, and not really a super unique song or anything but man this one gets me up and moving for some reason. I just have listened to it five hundred times lately lol

Is it me or does this seem like it might have been influenced by this (similar riff):
Starting around the 27-second mark in the track that @Nick Clayton posted. The percussive instrument in that one sounds like a cowbell to me, though it could be something else, but that was what triggered the connection for me

Yes! I definitely feel it. I've been a BOC fan for a long time, especially since seeing them live at 7 Cedars Casino somewhere around the year 2000. I went to that show reluctantly, and came away a big fan. Seen them several times since. Not the original lineup of course, but my later exposure to them sent me on a deep dive of their material. So much good stuff.
Maybe this vibe helps explain why this track catches me so hard.

Seriously, though, they pull it off well and for me it sets up the guitars to steal the show. Great song!
Sounds kind of like a band I used to listen to and then lost track of. The Idle something or other.

1974 Yes at their peak of complexity and experimentation. Gryphon opened for them. I understood the hip term mind blowing after that. Without windowpane.
