What are you listening to?

So back in late 70’s and I forget exact times. My friend had an older brother who was just out of high school and was home for the holidays. He had aspirations to be a musician and was living in the LA area if I remember correctly. He was hanging with some other musicians down south and one was Steve Vai (who at the time didn’t mean anything to me). He had a cool bedroom that was a converted garage. Big ass tarantula spider and all these cool posters. He had long flowing blond hair and wore jeans and leather vests. One day he told us you wanna hear some real good music? Duh? That was my introduction to UFO and it’s been lights out since !!!!!

Sadly I think he ended up on the drugs side of the business.

A lot of great music here - one thing I notice, though: Most of it is OLD, 30-years old or more. Not all, but most. It's a sad commentary that rock and roll is no longer the popular music it used to be. It'll eventually be like bluegrass or gypsy jazz - listened to by a few.

But I'm old, too, so here is another contribution, by possibly the most under-rated rock and roll band ever (at least in the USA), Slade. I chose a true live version of this #1 song to show what a great live band they were.
