What are you listening to?

Well Randy Meisner died and lit was in the news. ‘Eagles’ . Nothing better than real musicians and live and a drummer who sings.

And there is Don Felder too, who can definitely sing the song !

Rhiannon Giddens "Wayfaring Stranger"
Burl Ives, Emmylou Harris, Johnny Cash, Natalie Merchant, Jack White, Ed Sheeran, and Bill Monroe have all covered this song.
During and for several years after the Civil War, the lyrics were known as the Libby Prison Hymn. The words had been inscribed by a dying Union soldier incarcerated in Libby Prison, a warehouse converted to a notorious Confederate prison known for its adverse conditions and high death rate. It had been believed that the dying soldier had authored the song to comfort a disabled soldier, but this was not the case since it had been published several years before the Civil War in 1858, before Libby Prison was put into service (1862). Saw Dean Johnson in Trout Lake this weekend and can’t stop thinking about it.
Nice to see that the Trout Lake Tavern is again hosting music. Back in the Day this band used to play Trout Lake once a year. You just threw a sleeping bag out in the yard when the show was over. The Kingsmen, or just that Louie Louie band:

Now if we can just get The Logs Inn at BZ Corners back open for broasted chicken life will be grand.
