Thanks for that … I have a new appreciation for the song. I have to say I did not serve I was a 1-H college deferred student .I was in the last draft and drew a #312. In truth I was not attuned to the meaning of lyrics then…the song had great hooks and lyrics rhymed…The song cracked me up when it was released shortly after I completed a rather long 6 month USAF integrated fighter weapons control systems (including RADAR - an acronym for Radio Detection And Ranging) avionics school.
