I love how when Prince was in the middle of that guitar solo and Tom Petty started to try to sing and Prince just gives him this look like, "sit the fuck down, I'm not done!"
Dunno if that entire solo was planned or not (I've heard not), but it's really damn good.

No idea. I'm not that hardcore of a fan. They're opening one night of two Metallica shows I'm going to. Always dug their stuff, just started diving in a little deeper.

I've always liked them, Dimebag Darrel got shot on stage, then his brother Vinnie the drummer had a heart attack several years later after joining the band Hellyeah. I always considered them irreplaceable, will be interesting to see what they come up with. The lamb of god/Pantera tour this year was very tempting.
I knew about dimebag, but didn't know the full story on either him or his brother. That's awful for the entire family.
I've never seen them nor FFDPvlive, so I'm excited to see that.
I wouldn't be surprised if they (and Metallica) do a tribute of sorts kinda like Metallica typically does for Cliff. That shit always gets me.

Last time I saw Metallica my idiot friends and I got right up to the rail on the floor at the Rose Garden(Moda Center) in Portland. Godsmack opened for them, I remember getting showered with vodka from Lars. Must have been around 2005 or 2006.

Nancy Wilson, "Guess Who I Saw Today" The best version of this song ever by one of my favorite artist. I saw her in person in Hollywood and just loved her. I was driving the day I heard she died and pulled to the side of the road and wept, she was just so damned good
Lena Horne's version of "Surrey With a Fringe On Top" No one ever did a better or more fun rendition of Surrey than Lena.
