What Are You Eating?

Some good grilled chicken with a homemade spicy ginger Asian-ish bbq sauce.

I used an immersion blender to make a sauce of leftover marinated grilled king oyster mushrooms, some roasted poblano chilis, a shallot, a thumb of ginger, honey, gochujang, Thai spice paste, rice vinegar, oil, soy sauce, and cilantro.

Fridge clean out bbq sauce is my new jam!

FIL gave us a jar of his home canned semi-sweet/hot (Carolina Reaper pepper) pickles. Goes without saying that required breaking out a jar of home canned tuna for sandwiches. Coarse chopped pickles, garlic, teriyaki, mayo, and lettuce on toasted sour dough.

I don't take many foodie shots, but whooda thunk I'd have best scallops I've ever tasted in Walla Walla.

Appetizer at Walla Walla Steak Company:

Sashimi grade scallops, Soy-Miso Vinegarette, Wasabi Aioli, and Pickled Ginger.
