What Are You Eating?

@Brute Cote looks incredible. What was your favorite from the line up? Korean is my favorite nationality of food- bring on all of the funky, savory, spicy, sour goodness!
 
When you are cooking for one and don't take the time for extended productions there are a few main stays. Brown butter garlic seared scallops with lemon parmesan roasted green beans. Ready in about 15 minutes and nearly edible.

A couple days ago, in answer to one of my questions about strange or odd dishes, Gary said it was impoverished people using whatever local products were handy. But come on, spicy banana ketchup? I'm back to thinking it's chefs dropping acid and coming up with this shit.

Brute, you seem to post a lot of Korean and other spicy dishes. Where are you on the 4 **** scale? I'm Scandinavian and remain firmly planted at one star. When I try a 2 ** dish, the top of my head sweats profusely and my sinuses fill with gobs of snot that takes 10 to 12 Kleenex to empty. Hence, why I shy away from Korean and spicy dishes in general. I love Thai food, but have to strongly emphasize ONE star!

By the way, the chef at the Pao is Filipino…banana ketchup is a staple in that country

I've never heard of half the dishes you post photos of. I have a Filipino friend who eats all kinds of stuff I wouldn't touch, so I'll have to ask him about banana ketchup.
