West side lake action!

Today I fished a recently stocked lake….kudos to Eells Springs hatchery! Very nice rainbows 14”-18” heavily spotted, full fins and fat! They fought great! One other guy on the lake when I got there, he left after about 1/2 hour and I had the lake to myself all day! Beautiful day on the water, I C&R’d 21 nice trout. Bent the bamboo…..

Went back to said lake today…..little did I know southbound I-5 was closed by Des Moines? What a giant cluster! Looking at the weather report I was on a mission for fishin! Took a lot longer to get there but once again well worth it! Two cars at the lake, one was leaving and the other was Lue. We had the lake to ourselves all day! I fished with a wet line and C&R’d 27 nice rainbows. Bummer the rain and wind is coming, but we need it. Almost killed Bambi and mom on a dark road home……
