West Seattle Salmon

We counted about 350 coho in the stream this year - a lot of fish for a stream you can step across. Maybe more important are the hundreds of visitors and school kids that learn about salmon and their role in traditional and contemporary life while visiting the watershed. At least some of those fish were likely to have been raised in the local elementary schools as part of the Salmon in the Classroom project.
 
Is there any sorta' nearby pen rearing and release site? That would provide a lot of strays.
