Well crap....

Hard to tell but the stern of the boat may be damaged. The Clack can be easily repaired. The Versa maybe not so much. Maybe texting and driving?

Wife had a versa. Front ends are really low. Can totally see this happening.
Especially with a "get out of my way" type driver in the Nissan.

Philosophical question: Judging by the stoplight dead ahead, the nature of the accident, especially as it relates to the proximity of the SUV in front of the scene, is it just possible that someone's trailer lights weren't working, hmmmmm?

I for one am really glad for all of these hypotheticals with zero concrete evidence short of one person rear-ended another.

So according to the internet :

A guide made the 1200mi round trip to Idaho Falls from Colorado for his new boat for the season.

Got nailed a couple miles from home by a drunk driver who doesn't own the car and was uninsured. Trailer is totaled, boat and truck scratched.

I have not verified any of this.

MEGA thread drift: How is it that in this country we have drivers who continue to be allowed to drive when they have DUI's, specifically more than one DUI? Uninsured motorist? There are (invasive?? - ALPR) ways law enforcement could deal with this issue. Sorry, rant over. Delete if you want to Evan B.

I mean, many of them are technically NOT allowed to. But many of them still do, just illegally. Not sure how you keep them from jumping in a friend's car to go for a joy ride like seems may have been the case here.

My wife's uncle has multiple DUIs and had his license revoked years ago plus a few stays in the county pen. He still drives around.

The issue is older folks behind the wheel with bad eyes, horrible hearing and slow reactions.

My FIL hasn't been in an accident in decades, but he has caused quite a few......and cluelessly keeps on truckin'.
