WDFW Digital license

I’m trying to get my digital license for blackmouth tomorrow, I just bought a new license online and I see this:

I was trying to look up something on the WDFW website and keep getting this.

It's messed up for Mobile License Holders as well. Here's mine when I try to check my Harvest stuff via myWDFW

If I click on Add Cat h or Harvest I just get dumped to this-

What a mess. I had some hope, but as a guy that has done some pretty complicated software deployments for the telecom world, this looks like a majir screw up. This would not making it out of functional testing. 😒

There is hope! I also did the Fred Meyer's trip weeks ago to find out that after buying the paper version they could not print it. I asked if they could call WDFW to find out why, they were told I had selected online for 2026 (I had not). Fred Meyer canceled the purchase. I purchased the license online, selected the online version for 2026, downloaded MyWDFW app, linked it to my account, found no way to see how the catch record would work ans assumed it would work on the 1st day it was valid (today).
Found myself with a keeper blackmouth salmon, tried to log it but got nowhere fast, same screen as most of you are uploading, saying I was in wrong place, that I had to add a catch record card, that I had not chosen yet to be a paper or mobile this year and had to do it on the fishhunt website, not the app. In the website it said I had already selected mobile, the app kept on saying it wasn't selected paper or mobile. After cursing a few choice words with a very wet phone screen, waiting for login validation text codes and the such I just gave up and came to the ramp with 2 keepers but only one recorded (my fishing buddy managed fine with his paper catch record card).
Enforcement truck was on the ramp but they were not checking on people, fish checker first question was if we had issues with the app as most people were having similar problems. Back at home I opened the app and the catch record was there now, first kept fish of 2026, below how it looks like. Go figure! Maybe just an April Fool's joke. At least salmon were not on the joke.

I played with the catch card feature on the digital version and you don't use it until you're acting recording a fish. It worked for me, online and at home with wifi, but we'll see when I'm out trying to use it.

Overall I haven't had any issues and like having it on my phone. Now I just need to send in my catch card from last year!

I closed and reopened MyWDFW late yesterday morning and it started working, showing my license and allowing me to enter a catch record. 🤞

I wonder if the new electronic catch card has the 24 fish limit like the paper ones did. Every time I filled it I had to pay $12 to get another. Perhaps the digital version is limitless?

Get catching and let me know! I doubt I'll find out anytime soon 🤣

Really appreciate this thread and the responses. Read through it a couple times and made some notes, downloaded MyWDFW, looked through all the menus and options, then went through and made my selections. It hickuped the first time I tried to pay but second time, bingo. Thanks again, I'm off to go watch my bobber dance.

I renewed mine a couple of weeks ago and just checked to see if my catch records are showing on the app. I only see a Columbia Sturgeon catch card. I only fish and never catch anything (just starting out fly fishing) so I will give them some time to figure out all the bugs.

I've been waiting for my paper copy to show up,... so I thought. I received my Discoverpass in the mail, but no license. Yesterday I called and the Customer Support guy said it looks like I had signed up for digital. Mmmm, my app told me I elected paper. After that encounter, I noticed a digital license and digital catch cards all available from my phone. So I guess I better carry my phone with me know.

I've uninstalled both the apps off my Android and then re-installed. Still no catch record. Glad it's April and not when I actually might catch a hatchery steelhead. I can see it try to go to a different page with the weird hexagon thing and then it stalls. I'll guess the correction will be late next week. Probably too optimistic of me, but I gotta think enforcement is probably already escalating this one.
I'm sure there's more than a few officers that have the same problem.

Did you edit your profile before you bought your license to selected that you wanted to be a digital license holder? The snippet below is from my profile as an example (I did not select digital for this year).

I had to declare Electronic License to purchase it and the catch record, and for the MyWDFW app to verify I had selected an Electronic license to login to the app.

It sounds like almost all the issues revolve around the ability to choose a paper vs. digital license. I'd expect next year for it to be smoother since you have to use the digital license.
