This is kinda crazy. I guess it's a floating bog island that every so often blocks/threatens the bridge. So the community bands together and pushes it back out of the way.
In the comments there's some scuttlebutt about them trying it once and it breaking loose. Also could be that it would take some sort of significant environmental review/permitting/etc to do it in a permanent way.
