My girlfriend is looking to buy her first pair of waders. We tried Orvis Clearwater, but the sizing seems a bit odd, and their booties are too small for her. She fit nicely into my Dryft front-zips, but they're a bit too expensive for her at this point.

Any suggestions from those with first-hand experience would be appreciated!

My wife uses the Redington Sonic-Pro. She's short - 5'1" and the small work for her. I see they're on Sierra Trading post in a small and medium right now for $200.

I like my Dryfts. The women's are on sale for $299 right now.
Be aware that they kind of fade to an odd brown over time, if she cares!

A gal I know that is in the fly fishing industry swears by Patagonia. She mentioned how much she liked the fit versus other brands of women’s waders. Not cheap but if fit is important they might be worth checking out.

If she fits in your Dryft waders nicely, I'm guessing she wouldn't be interested in some very lightly used Simms that fit a 5' 4" woman at about 120 pounds. I had to get my wife new waders this past year because the old ones apparently shrunk a bit.

If you can still find them, the Patagonia Expedition (non-zip) from last year are, in my opinion, the best deal going. $400 for bombproof waders with kneepads, the best strap system I've seen thus far, and they're actually designed with body differences in mind. Not to mention Patagonia's repair policy and warranty.

I think that Redington has the best selection of waders.
For myself and my lady I have found up sizing is better than sizing to fit. One size up will give ya better movement.
Also one size up on the wading boot also
