Very sad day…..

Divorce is a tough one. I have little to offer there as any loss of a relationship I've grieved pales in comparison to 44 years. I may know the feeling but the depth of that duration likely eludes me.

I highly advise abstaining from alcohol entirely if that was a decision you made before this event. Alcohol is the most addictive and habit forming drug I know and it's destruction profound in little ways over a long term. It is a thief that robs you of feeling which is why it's attractive in times like this. It can also lead to depression eventually. Is best not to set on the trail or tempt it.

Take solace in friends. True friends. You will know who they are as they are the ones that divide your sorrow and multiply your joy. Surround yourself with them and do your best to not dwell in the past in good times or bad. Concentrate on preparing and anticipating the future. The book has not concluded it has only opened to a new chapter. It's contents are yet to be written. Use it the best you can to pen a life chapter you can truly be proud of and satisfied with. I hope for you all the best in exiting one chapter beginning the next. Pour all of yourself into it.

Needs a new Husky sticker.
Funny you should mention that Tim…..we left my original “Husqvarna” sticker on the rear window, a different kind of “Husky” along with a K2 sticker on the driver’s side corner window. Both nostalgic from the ‘70s…….

Bambooflyguy, best wishes from the Great White North.
Love that glossy copper paint! Jealous of your workspace, too!
Thanks Otter. The paint color is 2015 C6 Corvette Daytona Sunrise Orange. Just a little metal flake that pops in the sunshine and looks like a different color in dimmer light conditions. Don’t be jealous of that shop….it isn’t mine…..

I see a project in the works to keep @Bambooflyguy busy:

Keep a look out for a post about my Hotrod truck coming soon! Hopefully about a month away…..

I did not anticipate how close you are to finishing your truck. Totally blown away actually!! It is gorgeous and done the right way mixing old memories and bringing it back to a beautiful life after decades of planning. Well done!

Wondering how you could do so much with the amount of fishing and hotrodz you do... Amazing!

Be sure to go to Rat City also. (As you know I also grew up in Burien and WC was not a part of my vocabulary. Still is not. LOL)

RCF…..you’re so right! It’s about one month away from terrorizing the streets of Burien! I really wanted Kerri cruzing with me but….I’ll be cruzing looking for my next X!! Sneak peek…..not sure why it’s sideways? Kink your neck…..

Modified S10 frame in the before pictures? What LS3 is going in it? I'm working on a '51 five window that I picked up a year ago, I've stripped down and rebuilt a LQ4 LS 3 for it with a 4L80E and it's going on a 2001 S10 frame.

Hi Modest_Man,
Yup, ‘87 S-10 ex drag racer. Bought it with no motor or trans, narrowed 12 bolt, frame narrowed C notched, super straight body for $2,500 cash! I bought a totaled 2010 Camaro LS3 with 30k miles for $7k! Sold the six speed for $1,500 and am using a built turbo 400. I’ll pm you so we can bs more….

This time around I’m having a Hotrod shop build it. Too old and beat up for wrenching anymore, besides, it’s my retirement project! First class, one and done! A lot of the work is way beyond my skill level. Besides…..I’m retired and that’s a lot of work! You won’t see this bad ass Hotrod at any boat launch.
