Uses for broken rod?

I broke a couple of rods. I just shit canned them. This was before I knew about warranties.

Yeah, I’m sure you could potentially use it as a trash rod, for bass or a loaner to your BIL, or make a back scratcher. But hey, you got a replacement at a decent price, so I’d maybe LITERALLY use it as a tomato stake. Make a nice conversation piece, and you could reminisce over it occasionally with a glass of Jack. “I’m gonna go tend the garden Honey.”

Graphite rods make great lightning rods. Get enough of them and arrange them in a pattern. You can put on a real show in your backyard as the lightning jumps from one to another.
