Mr. @Dustin Chromers, Please excuse, I should have done a bit more "editing" and checking. You are correct, my post was mainly directed at Swimmy, who I know is not you, and you not he. I was also intending to address the "Liberals thought Elon was one of theirs. Now he's revealed he's not and is hated" but strayed and never quite made it there (ie, liberals are not the only ones to change their stance on things as it suits them) - my sincere apologies.

Cheers

Point noted. Fair point as well. I sincerely thank you for the clarification and in fact find myself in agreement with said point as hypocrisy seems to be an equal opportunity item.

It's like going to the river and fly fishing. It's a boring lure and you'll only catch a couple with your noble and ethical approach. Then you got the guy with pink stained waders and worm containers all over. He's slaying them. Media would rather slay than do something boring and credible. There's less money in boring and credible.
except worms are a real meal. fish are apparently smarter than american consumers - they don't swallow when the first bite reveals they've been offered a fake. both offerings have a hook in them, sure, but one is real food, and one isn't. too many of us can't detect the difference any more.

You've clearly never caught trout uncontrollably shitting power bait they are so gorged on it. However, your point is still valid. It's valid because even trout when faced with a meal that looks too good to be true all fluorescent coloured dripping in glitter gravy would likely prefer it to the natural feed and not question consequence. They are conditioned to hit the bright ball on the feeder like so many Americans who have not seen outside the cement pond. I'm quite certain the ones that pontificate the detriment of such things are shouted down as heretics. Even the thought of a lake to swim free and forage in terrifies the masses of deformed fins and morbid obesity so common in the hatchery raceway. They know to swim free and eat bugs is clearly a horrible existence. Just stay around the feeder, wait, what's that? Is that bright green glitter gravy......

A while back there was this graph that basically showed right/left/accurate/not accurate. I think Fox and CNN were pretty close to the same (not very accurate reporting & extreme) on the opposite ends of the right/left spectrum.

Fox definitely has a wider spread. Rupert wants that outrage money. Real news is boring as shit. I tried to be a good boy and only expose myself to AP and so on, but I only lasted a day. Now, I just don't consume any news at all. If I need to know something, someone always tells me one way or another.

Join me and let's create a fact based naked news network. I'll call it Naked Truth. It writes itself. We'll be rich and do mankind a service all at the same time. Perhaps the most ethical media millionaire magnates ever. Fox will tremble when they see our newscasters getting naked to seduce people to witness truth. It will be beautiful.

You'd have to buy the rights from the NBN (https://www.imdb.com/search/title/?companies=co0040686), another great Canadian innovation (right up there with bacon).

Cheers

Who in the hell decided that humans need to drink cows milk to be healthy anyway ?

Oh yeah, the dairy lobby did...and then they got subsidies to make sure they made money to produce an unneeded product.

They don't call it 'milking the government teat' by coincidence.

;)

Millenia of human history has populations using animal milk in some form or another. So give up milk, cheese, whey, butter, ice cream, yogurt. I am in the dairy industry, btw :devilish:

What the hell? Fvck that shit! If you read Twitter or post on Twitter, you're an enabler. Whatsa' matter with you peeps? Drop that shit! Don't read there. Don't post there. It can only exist as long as a lot of peeps are gullible enough to use it. I have no doubt I can live the remainder of my life without ever delving into a platform organized around that quote by the Twitter CEO. Why can't you?

I'm not on twitter, never have been.

I'm also not the one melting because Musk is trying to buy it.

Any changes to FB and T are welcome. Controlling narratives are not an aspect of a free society. Let anyone say what they want. Force users to dig deeper and figure it out. Unfollow who you don't agree with. Controlled narratives create stupid people and aid in the creation of really fanatical insane counter groups and perspectives. Since when in history have book burners been on the side of truth and awareness?

that may be so, but the point is that both are relatively popular with their respective audiences and are on opposite sides. The fact that one may be "slightly worse" with regard to reliability is irrelevant (when both have pretty similar track records with such things).

I think Fox and CNN were pretty close to the same (not very accurate reporting & extreme) on the opposite ends of the right/left spectrum. Part of what made me start heading towards AP & Reuters for more reliable (and least biased) news. If I want something that leans left, like where my own personal beliefs lie, yet maintains a relatively high amount of journalistic integrity, it's NPR. But all of this yelling at the opposite side really does zero good for anyone (I'm sure I've been guilty of it a time or three, but at least I have the self awareness to recognize that).
PBS News Hour is about as clean a source as I've found. Boring as hell, like news should be.

There's a reason I read the news instead of watch it....unless I feel like a nap (although, that could happen either reading or watching)

Agreed. Their website is a good spot to keep up. It's where I typically check in.

I really would like to be able to agree with this, for the sake of this country and humanity in general. However, if you adjusted that infographic for actual viewership, I believe the results would be damning.
