Brought home 3 trout for dinner. All wild cutties, bows, or cuttbows.
Each one was stuffed 90% with these little black wasps. The other bugs were these other small beetle looking things. Help with ID?
On a side note, my biggest fish out of this mountain lake is 18 inches. Well I hooked and lost one that I got to watch come up from the dark depths, grab my bait fish pattern, turn and head down again. Probably only 20 feet from my kayak. Was easily 24 inches and look as big as many steelhead I've landed. Amazing wild trout. Hooked, felt the full bend in the rod, jaw dropped, heart stopped, eyes big....then slack and heartbreak..... next time my friend.
