Trout dinner......

Looks great, and I like the rod accent. We ate one fillet last night from a fresh fish, still firm and no off-putting flavor at all. My wife loves the jumbo fish. Enjoy.

Wow. I haven't kept trout in a very long time, but I can't think of any that I ever caught that looked half that good.
The jumbos out of the Washington hatcheries (at least the Tucannon hatchery for sure) have that pink flesh. And seems each one has tiny egg skeins just starting to form.

Caught some holdover fish today, kept two. I haven’t kept any trout since my mom passed away, she liked to eat them, I just like to catch them! I was pleasantly surprised with the nice color of the meat......hope it tastes as good as it looks.

Some of the best looking trout filets I have ever seen. That color is awesome. Might of been eating a lot of fresh water shrimp to get that color...

Makes me wonder too RCF.....two throat samples had nothing but white daphnia. Can‘t say I’ve ever seen scuds in this lake, or for that matter not many on this side of the mountains.

I have seen scuds affect flesh color. Now I am wondering. Brown trout have an orange color but not as vivid as your dinner. Glad it tasted great...
