Trolling motor connectors (SAE vs Anderson) and a battery charging dongle question...

Now that the weather is improving, I'm back on my previous mission to make connecting/charging my trolling motor and battery easier.

However, I have recently seen posted a few places around the internet that SAE connectors aren't meant to be used for more than 10-15 amps. Does anyone know if this is true? My trolling motor draws 52a at max (though usually less than that since I'm not running full bore very often). Should I give up on the SAE and go with Anderson connectors or something?

And if I do go with Anderson connectors, does anyone know if there is an issue with having two "connector dongles" on the battery? One with an Anderson connector and another with a Noco "x connect" connector so I could charge it easily with my genius 10 charger. Or should I just try to figure out a Noco X-connect to Anderson adapter? I'd ahve to make one since that's not something Noco seems to offer.

Not entirely sure what your setup looks like, but I went with one of these for plugging in my Minn Kota. Granted, this one is probably overkill for your motor.

That's more than I need for this particular situation. Mostly because it's not a permanent install.

I have been using an SAE connector for several years with my Minn Kita Endurance 30lb thrust. No issues for this sized motor.
