Trinity Alps

Spent a couple of nights up in the Trinity Alps in Northern California with one of my best friends and the daughter, who is now 12 and really crushed the hike in.

The weather was beautiful, the brookies were decent sized and plentiful. I caught all of my fish on either a hopper, a beetle, or an orange bugger.

And for the first time in recent memory, I out fished my daughter!!! @mcswny

It was about 4.7 in. Not exactly a death march, but it was uphill the entire way in so it made for a good workout

Thanks! I try to get her on a backpacking trip at least a few times a summer. This particular lake is my favorite

Nice looking trout. The Trinity Alps are great. Never saw many people the times I have been there.
