Tree damage ?---opinions on leaf guard gutter systems? Brands?

I can’t believe how often I have to clean my gutters and I have like 10 trees max around me. If I lived in a forested area, I would be cleaning them every month.

As for homeowners insurance....it is common practice for insurance companies to cancel policies after two claims (even minor claims)...it identifies you as high risk...and the result is having to find a very expensive high risk carrier.

And in some locations (or entire states) carriers have simply abandoned the market because of tort liability exposure from having to replace entire roofs with only minimal actual damage. Who do you think is paying for all those 'free roof replacement' scams heavily promoted by roofing companies?

You forgot the third option. No gutters.
Laugh all you want. I spent six years in Austin and never saw a residential gutter. They use L shaped flashing over the entrance areas about two feet up the roof.

You might be thinking it doesn't rain much. You'd be wrong. 40 inches a year. It just arrives in such a manner that gutters can't hold it. So why bother?
